A year after the events of Emily Bronte’s “Wuthering Heights,” Hareton and Cathy—daughter of Edgar Linton and Catherine Linton (nee Earnshaw)—are married and hosting an engagement/New Years Eve party at their home, Wuthering Heights. Cathy has slipped away from the party, and in an abandoned bedroom reflects on the parallels between her own life and that of her dead mother, and faces the ghosts of her past.
