STAGE MANAGER NEEDED FOR “WHERE DO WE BEGIN?” AT NEXTFEST

Lady Vanessa Cardona and Joanna Simon are seeking a stage manager for their theatre project “Where Do We Begin?” at Nextfest.  Stage manager must be available for all performances and technical rehearsals, as well as the bulk of rehearsals in May.  Knowledge of lighting design is an asset.

About the Project:

“Where do we begin?” featuring Lady Vanessa and Joanna Simon, follows the story of two brown women and their lived childhood experience of displacement and resilience both in the South and the North. Joanna Simon a Cree, Indigenous woman from Turtle Island and Lady Vanessa Cardona a Colombian refugee woman now living on Treaty 6 land. As they embark on their journey of healing, they wonder at which point in their lives they should begin to reconcile with. The complexities of their stories almost leave them speechless yet their undeniable solidarity for one another gives them the strength to share.
