Call For Submissions from young emerging movement artists

Are you a choreographer who would like to present your work in an amazing Emerging Artists Festival?

Dancefest is looking for creative new dance works to be presented for this year’s Festival, running June 7 – 17, 2012! If you are a choreographer and emerging artist, please submit your proposal following the requirements below.

Submission Requirements:

Project Description: What is your piece about? How many dancers will be involved? Are you working with any other artists?

Technical Requirements: Are you using props? Do you have a set design? Do you have live musicians? Do you need special lighting for your piece?

Artistic Statement: What does this project mean to you? Is there a message you would like to convey to the audience?

Availability: Artists need to be available for one of the weekends and a couple of the days during the fesitval. As well as the technical /dress rehearsals, which may run prior to the festival opening.

Resume: Relevant artistic information

Support Material: DVD of previous works or the current piece you would like to present at Nextfest.
