Stetson Poulin

Stetson is the writer and director of The Emu War. He is an 18 year-old Grade 12 student from Archbishop MacDonald in Edmonton, Alberta. Since a very young age, Stetson has had a love of the arts. He has acted in a number of plays both in and out of school, and attended the Foote Theatre School at the Citadel for 4 years. Stetson also plays an active role in his high school’s theatre community, having acted in a total of 9 plays over his 3 years at Archbishop MacDonald. But Stetson’s interests are not limited to drama; on top of being an avid electric guitarist and creative writer, he has a passion for movies, and has been an aspiring film director and writer since as far back as he can remember. Stetson spends a great deal of his time devoted to both watching and creating films. He attended Red Deer College’s Teen Video Intensive Film Camp for 2 years in a row, and was part of the ECSD Film Festival at the Garneau Theatre in 2012 and 2014. All in all, Stetson loves entertaining people and making them laugh, and he feels both proud and privileged to be a part of this year’s Nextfest.
