Maren Elliott is an edmonton-based musician, visual artist and Suzuki teacher. Maren studied classical viola from the age of four, and has participated in numerous choral and instrumental ensembles. It is only recently she has begun to expand her sonic expression outside the realm of traditional music, combining visual, conceptual, and sound art into electroacoustic compositions. Though Maren has previously participated in Nextfest as a visual artist, she is thrilled to be a part of Nextfest NuMusic this year.
